Frank V. DeRosa, Patent Attorney
Mr. DeRosa is a Registered Patent Attorney who provides a diverse range of intellectual property and patent legal services through The Law Office of Frank V. DeRosa, PC. He has over 12 years of legal experience, including, but not limited to, commercial litigation, preparing and prosecuting U.S. and PCT patent applications, client counseling and strategizing in a wide variety of intellectual property matters relating to patents, trademarks and copyrights, and providing legal services such as patent infringement and validity studies, patent licensing and litigation, and trademark prosecution and motion practice before the TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) with regard to trademark oppositions and cancellation proceedings.
Mr. DeRosa has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of U.S. and PCT applications in a broad range of technologies including, but not limited to, telecommunications, speech and handwriting recognition, biometric identification systems, computer architecture, networking, and programming, distributed computing systems, e-business systems and applications, semiconductor chip fabrication and packaging, semiconductor memory architectures, LCD architecture, medical imaging systems and applications, data compression systems, microwave and millimeter wave communications systems and devices, millimeter wave antenna systems for chip scale packaging and wireless laptop solutions, digital and analog electronics, audio/video processing and communications systems and applications such as MPEG, JPEG and MP3 encoding technologies, optical systems and fiber optic devices, and various mechanical and biological arts.
Mr. DeRosa earned his BEEE (Bachelor of Engineering Electrical Engineering) degree in 1989 from Manhattan College, Riverdale, N.Y., where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He earned a JD (Juris Doctor) degree in 1994 from St. John’s University School of Law, Queens, N.Y.
Mr. DeRosa is admitted to the State Bars of New York and New Jersey and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
